Speech On Women’s Day | Women Empowerment Speech For Students

Women’s Day is celebrated on 8th of March annually. Women’s day is celebrated internationally because women are subjected to suffer throughout the world. In every part and parcel of the world women’s day is celebrated in order to alleviate women and to reduce their suffering.

Essay on women Empowerment for Students

Women is not free, she is bound to live and is victim of element of inferiority and is victim of aggression, injustice and inequality. Their basic rights are not provided to them. This day is celebrated to embolden and empower women and spread awareness that they are not useless entity as they are being treated.

Women hold a great place in our society. All those nations and societies suffer and fall where women is treated inferior. They are the basic pillar of nation.

Women has many forms, she is a mother, a daughter and a wife. In all forms she is blessing. Being a mother she is embodiment of selfless love and care. A mother is the first teacher of a child. A child starts the process of learning from the lap of mother.

Her lap is the first institution of a child where one starts the process of learning. How can a society be that much mean and self centered to forget the importance of a mother who is the spiritual guide of new generation. Apart from it a daughter being the fascination of father is treated far below the criterion set in religion.

We are single nation, all religions denounce and crush the element of superiority and greatness. All creation of God is equal. There is no superior or inferior on this plant earth in the eyes of God. Than how can a women be?

Unfortunately there are many paralyzed societies in the world where women are considered inferior to men and are devoid of their basic rights. The main objective of celebrating women’s day on international ground is to eradicate all types of gender inequality and injustice that is done against women.

The prosperity and progress of our society lies in the prosperity and betterment of women. They must not be treated like cattle, they must have freedom of choice and freedom of expression so that they be able yo decide their life. The eradication of gender discrimination is the sole solution of the prosperity of our nation.

All girls must have access to good education because Education empowers and makes them able to develop who finally contribute in the progress of nation.

Since ages women is treated and is considered a part of house, she is considered only responsible of house hold chores and is confined to live within the four walls of house. Why is a women made dependent? She is endowed with capabilities, a woman is gifted intellect and reasoning same like a man. When women get quality education and is empowered fully she become independent and leads a happy life. Freedom is also the right do women. Women must have freedom to work so that they become independent, stand on their feet and support family and nation.

If women are provided quality education they their self will find their way to succeed. Until and unless our girls are not sent to school, our girls will suffer in the hands of narrow minded people. So educate girls and give them freedom to decide what they like and they don’t. There must not be any authority over them to decide on their will.

History is full of instances that all those women who found way to school and got good education helped the nation’s tremendously and helped improve the society. A society is not constructed of men only, there live women too, when both men and women will contribute together than society will grow and progress. We can’t clap single handedly like wise men alone won’t suffice to support the nation.

Education of women is very important because it is women who play a major role in upbringing of children at home and to run house. Only an educated woman can look after children well and can run house smoothly.

Here I would like to quote words of great legendary women who stand united in the cause of gender equality. Malala yousafzai once addressing international women day said that “ Feminism is just another word for equality, it means equality and no one would object equality”.

She further said that our voice can change the whole world because we are all together. Meghan Markle has rightly said that “ Girls with dreams become women with vision”. She also said May we empower each other to carry out such vision, let’s work at it, together, starting now.

Angelina Jolie have said that “ There is no greater pillar of stability than a strong, free and educated woman, there is no more inspiring role model than a man who respects and cherishes women and champions their leadership”. Hilary Clinton has once gave a message to all women that “ we share a common future and we are here to find a common ground so that we may help bring new dignity and respect to women and girls all over the world.

In the end I would like to leave a message to all present here today, that it is our moment, the moment to act against gender inequality, let’s we all pledge and stand united to promote education of girls and women Empowerment. Let’s salute their contributions to the society and recognize their importance to the progress and prosperity of nation.

Let’s motivate them and encourage them for greater future achievements. We need to redouble our efforts to reduce violence against women. Some one has rightly said that “ What we do for ourselves dies with us, but what we do for others and for the world, remains and is immortal”.
